Meizu launched its V8 and V8 Pro handsets this week, both the phones featuring large, 5.7-inch and 18:9 display screens. Other key features of the phones include a fingerprint sensor on the rear, and a high-performance front camera with 5 MP resolution and f/1.9 aperture. Both V8 and V8 Pro are identical phones, apart from a few significant differences. The V8 model features a single camera on the back, while V8 pro has been equipped with dual rear cameras.
The company also revealed the price range, specifications, and date of availability of the newly launched handsets. Let’s have a look.
Meizu V8 Specifications
The phone runs on the Flyme operating system, powered by the Android 8.1 Oreo. The company has used a powerful MediaTek MT6739 processor in the phone, along with a 3GB RAM which is fairly sufficient. The phone supports dual-SIM, both nano. However, the most striking feature of the phone is a large, 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. As far as the camera is concerned, this particular model has a single 13-megapixel camera on the rear with a f/2.2 aperture and dual flash. The front camera resolution is 5 MP with f/1.9 aperture.
The company has provided an internal storage of 32 GB in the V8 model, which expandable up to 128 GB using a micro SD card. You can find a range of sensors, including a digital compass, proximity sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer in the phone. The phone is backed up by a good, 3,2000 mAh battery to power its high-end functionality.
Meizu V8 Pro Specifications
Meizu V8 Pro looks appears similar to V8 in terms of the look and feel. However, there are a slew of striking differences. It runs on the same Flyme OS with Android 8.1 Oreo and has a display size of 5.7-inch. However, it is powered by a high-performance MediaTek Helio P22 SoC processor and a 4 GB RAM. A dual-flash dual camera has been provided at the rear, with the primary and secondary resolution of 12 MP and 5MP respectively. The front camera is the same 5 MP shutter. An internal storage of 6GB has been provided in this phone, and it runs on a 3,1000 mAH battery.
Date of Availability & Pricing of Meizu V8 & V8 Pro
As per the company release, the price of V8 has been set at around 8,400 INR, while the Pro model will cost around 11,600 INR. Both the models will be available in the Indian markets from September 24. Pre-orders have already started on the Meizu’s own site, Tmall, and JD.com.
