For the last one month, we have seen oodles of rumors, leaks, and hype created around Xiaomi’s new flagship phone. Finally, at a mega launching event in Beijing, the phone was uncurtained by this tech giant’s founder, Lei Jun in China on May the 25th.
As the name goes, Mi Max 2 packs a pouch in terms of display, with 6.44 inches, 1080p display the tech savvy flocks will have great streaming videos or even watching a movie on the go.
What’s more, its 5,300 mAh battery, having USB type-c connectivity, assuring the phone doesn’t run out of battery when the user is in the travel mode or stuck in a region where there is no power supply. The device also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 which, according to Xiaomi can charge up to 68% battery life from just an hour of charging.
This Xiaomi’s phablet smartphone boasts a full metal unibody, having mesmerizing rounded edges.
Xiaomi’s new phone, Mi Max 2 runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, which is also being utilized in Redmi’s Note 4.
The Mi Max 2 scores high on the camera front; 12-megapixel camera primary camera, which has Sony’s IMX386 sensor, promising better shots, bigger pixels under low-light.
The rear camera has a 1.25 um large pixel size, and the company is telling the sensor is identical to the one being embedded on the high-end Xiaomi Mi 6, company’s previous hit.
The best part, the 5-megapixel front shooter with 85-degree wide-angle lens comes with an extensive array of beautifying features promising more likes and comments on Social profiles.
The company has launched Mi Max 2 in two versions, in terms of internal storage 64 GB or 128 GB, which can be expanded via a microSD card. 174.1*88.7*7.6mm is the dimensions of this flagship phone.
Rounding off, Mi Max 2 houses stereo speakers, including a front and a bottom facing speaker – which are proposed to be intelligently making a shift from mono to stereo, when the device is turned into the landscape orientation.
